Caribbean & Vincentian Movies
in St. Vincent & the Grenadines

Welcome to Hairouna Film Festival 2025, starting from Friday March 21st and ending on Saturday March 29th.

Who are we?

The Hairouna Film Festival (HFF) is a St. Vincent & the Grenadines-based celebration of Caribbean storytelling and creative expression. Committed to developing a thriving local film sector, HFF showcases Vincentian and regional filmmakers through screenings, workshops, and networking events that nurture emerging talent. By blending artistic excellence with the power of community and cultural exchange, HFF strives to ignite positive social transformation and shine a spotlight on the vibrant voices of the Caribbean.

The Team

The diverse group behind HFF is united by their dedication to creative and cultural growth in the Caribbean and beyond. Aiko, an award-winning filmmaker from St. Vincent & the Grenadines, founded the Hairouna Film Festival and works with leading production houses, while Beth draws on her background at Ealing Film Studios to transform spaces for global entertainment brands. Indira, an actor-writer-producer also from St. Vincent, co-founded Look At Us Productions to champion women and people of color in film. Olivia, a visual artist, focuses on environmental awareness, and Sharleen, now based in Taiwan, merges traditional and digital techniques in her illustration and design. Jamaican film critic Shane highlights independent, non-English films through his reviews and as HFF’s Programming Director. Finally, 17-year-old Xania nurtures her creative side through poetry, art, and social media management, aspiring to become an architectural engineer.

Hairouna Film Festival is a registered NGO in Saint Vincent and The Grenadines that contributes to the development of the country through investments in the film sector.
